Sun Halo and Cirrus Clouds

Sun Halo is an optical phenomenon that occurs around the sun or the moon while there are very high cirrus clouds in the atmosphere.

And what are Cirrus clouds?

These are the thin, wispy clouds which form in the upper level of the troposphere. They are characterized by thin, wispy strands.
