A massive earthquake measuring 8.6 on the Richter scale occurred off the coast of Indonesia today. It was followed by another tremor measuring 8.2.
It triggered Tsunami warnings across 28 countries across the Indian ocean. The tremors were felt across India too. Today's quake bought back the difficult memories of the Indian ocean tsunami of 2004.
