The grass, moist and green,
Speckled with leaves brown.
Something is near its end,
Causing a lot of frowns.
The dry ruffled leaves,
Enchant us with crackles.
Shedding what's not needed,
Pulling out all the shackles.
There's a nip in the air,
Trees are showing their flair.
And soon they will be bare.
Not a leaf to spare.
Without shedding a tear,
Without a moment of fear.
Ready to be austere,
Where did they err?
Mother Earth plays her ruse,
Much to the pain and boos.
The canvas has a million hues,
To the summer, its an adieu.
It's time to let go,
And to welcome the snow.
Everything chum turns glum,
My dear, it's Autumn.
