Virat Kohli had captained India in the first test in the absence of the regular captain MS Dhoni. He had slammed a magnificent century in each innings of the first test against Australia. He followed it up with one more a couple of weeks later. Anushka Sharma, his girl friend, cheered him in front of the full house as he put up the century.
Yours Truly, known to few, to have pondering thoughts, thought quietly with these class acts in the back of his mind - Dhoni now knows he can retire. Indian cricket is in safe hands.
And on 30th Dec 2014, MS Dhoni, the man who lead India to the World Cup victory in 2001, retired.
A shock for the world. But not for Yours Truly.
Call it, Sixth Sense.
