Embarrassed

On a calm Sunday evening, I was going for a walk with my wife. As I walked down the stairs, a lady was about to walk up with her two daughters.

Just when our paths crossed, the elder daughter called out with delight -  "Papa!!"

My wife chuckled, the lady was taken aback, while Yours Truly turned around to see the young girl looking at me. Much to my shock !

These are the moments when you just wish that the earth opens up and swallows you.
