What's common between Batman, Spiderman and Phantom?
They are super heroes, usually common men doing uncommon tasks.
And they are unified by their masked faces.
What makes these ordinary men wear a mask on their face, hiding their deep, dark mind, their innermost feelings and thoughts, their deepest fears, and go about their daily tasks?
